It doesn't say that the lich has to be lvl 6, it says that you can not charm heroes or other, with a lvl of 6 and above.

I dont think chaosphere is working for that matter either. I had it last game and none of the archers died nor did the chaosphere tremble.

The benefit of charming a lich would be to use his own lich to block him, to stop him from finishing a recipe, lets say the vampire bought Inferno Rain which has 1 charge you can use it so the vamp cannot, or to simply troll him Razz and
