RotD hints/tips/tricks
Hear you can discuss the way you survive the world of The Pandemic with others. Exchange strategies, tell of defensible locations, or just plan a get-together to blow up some zombehs! xD

Re: RotD hints/tips/tricks
Tactic Name
Over-bound Watch
Tactic Inspired by
DragonComplex
Tactic Description
It all starts off at selecting heros. This works well with 5 well picked classes, preferably with Force Reconnaissance, Heavy Support, Forward Observer, Designated Marksman, Navy Corpsman. The reason for the specific class is because each play a vital role in the Over-bound Watch tactic. You don't always need to pick these classes, the tactic can be flexible and can work with other classes just choose wisely.
The Over-Bound Watch tactic consists of each marine moving in its own formation but still keeping a safe distance and considerable amount of vision to all. They all should be moving toward one destination and each marine should be giving the marine behind him vision, for example
Take a close look at the formation and there movements. We all know, in warcraft 3, when you are moving too a tree you loose vision of what is in front of that tree until you get around the tree, now in rotd, not having vision of what is in front of you can be deadly, in this tactic you don't have that problem because if one marine moves in front of a tree, he has all his other marines to help him. This can be a very powerful tactic if you keep in formation and practice this tactic in a variety of locations in rotd, this can be applied to cliffs as well.

Weekly Words of Wisdom: When soloing choose a class that can dish out damage quickly and keep a good overall view of your surroundings, and always keep moving, camping as a static target will result in your immediate termination.

Re: RotD hints/tips/tricks
Daily tip: When playing as a high ranked class, such as FO, you get alot of power. There's two issues to this: 1) It takes some time to get to that power, so stick close to your group and 2) You can easily team-kill, so when using a move such as Artillery Strike, call the location where you're firing beforehand and keep noobish marines outta choke-points where you can use abilities such as White Phosphorous effectively.

Re: RotD hints/tips/tricks
General hint: Jump is really useful to escape zombs. You can also combine the Jump ability with the Sprint ability. If you are going to use the Jump you can pistol the shit out of them from a little distance and then Sprint away or Jump again.

Re: RotD hints/tips/tricks
try to stick together not many classes allow you to avoid dying if you apporch a mass of zombies on your own FO is a good class to be if you encounter a mass. Unless you are good at fleeing.

Re: RotD hints/tips/tricks
Daily tip: don;t forget that the basic classes are important too. Flamethrowers have large clips and deal alotta damage in a little time, making them a vital asset for protecting civilians, being the first line of defense, or clearing paths for the rest of your squad.

Stay in groups for the most part you do more damage to the zombs than they do to you

Re: RotD hints/tips/tricks
tips: if you have both knife and pistol using them at the same time on bosses or enemies is highly effective. also utilizing the fences at airfield can result in your prolonged survival (by using the jump ability you can jump through the fences at airfield and depending where you jumped you can be safe from most melee zombies) also using knife spam on huge masses of air is also very effective if you have a med kit or bio. also using all your marines abilities and items can increase your chances of survival by a large amount

in general JUMP is really useful if you have to escape. its even better than sprint because you dont have to turn around first.

Use the whole map to your advantage. There are different hills sizes and entrances that can all be used to your advantage, use the open area!

Re: RotD hints/tips/tricks
beware of trees, they steal you your vision.
beware of hills which dont have a back-jump-exit.
beware of carrying to much heavy items they slow you down.
use medkit first then knife bosses.
keep always an eye on your ammunition.
keep always an eye on flying enemies.
keep always an eye on your teammates.
p.s: Dragon are trees in the new version killable now? didnt test it so far.
