PC Problems! Help?

Hey Guys Its Me Thous or Sword,
anyway it seems that im Cursed :/

My Mum's Dog Chewed around on a Desk-Lamp cable and caused an
Short-Circuit (word from school dictionary) after i put the Lamp in the Trash Can
my Mum wanted to turn back on the PC, it did Started normal but suddenly
did the Desktop Freezed, mean the computer was still running but on the screen did not happened anything. That happened Yesterday and the problem didnt fixed itself 'till now

Im not that experienced in finding the issues there so pls PLS if you want your Sword now back give some tips how i could get the PC back running normal.

so the problem is fixed or you having it Randomly?

if you having the problem Randomly it could be for 2 or 3 posible reasons on my experience

1.- some Areas of the Hard Drive may be Damaged or missing in result of the Short Circuit there for the PC dont Start Normaly and freezes TIPs on what to do: Run on ur PC the Scan Disck looking for Probles on the Hard Drive, use Utilities sucha as TuneUp Utilities to diagnose Registri isues or HArd drive damaged parts. or USE your Library Restore CD that comes with Windows to Repair missing files of windows. worked for me on this same problem in the past.

2.- you Can also use Sistem Restore it will go to a configuration we windows were working fine follow START/ACESORIES/SISTEM TOOLS/ SISTEM RESTORE (this pat is on my pc manage it to find it in yours )

3.- You may Have a Virus, if the Virus stored in the Windows File Folders may Freez the Screen at almost any time leting you verry short time to do things at Start and then frezzes. i will recomend use MALWAREBYTES + AVAST + AVG Antivirus

in fact that to can be an isue the Powe Supply has verry low protection to Hig Voltage Spikes, a short Circuit will generate verry hig Voltage Spikes if u dont have an Extra power Regulator probably the POWER SUPPLY is Fried or unstable it can and will Frezz the PC if its damaged ( that hapend to me and its a verry comon isue if you dont have Power Regulators) Volt Spike Supresor etc.... (u many need to Replace it )

so i try to replace my Power Supply but i think i could happens somethink to
my GeForce card... is that possible?

Hello Again

There is no Reason for your Video Card to take any Damage once you replace it... but there is a posibility that the short Circuit has caused damage to it... once you turn off your pc press the power button to complettly discharge the Energiced Coils on the Power Supply... after that you can proceed to safely unplug cables and also cards if you dont do so they can take damage.
