Ohh lol that's what the eyes of the zombies look like and I did it on Dragon cause he gets infected later in the series. The gold eye...well I'm not spoiling that...

no no no no. I didn't tell you what the gold eye was for. I'm talking about the eye with all the yellow lines and the red. That's the infection. The gold eye is something ENTIRELY different.
