I don't see a thread for non-designer ideas, such as player-created themes. So I just thought to put this in others, since there isn't anywhere else to put it...

Come on, where are the Fan ideas?!

What exactly do you mean?

I mean, fan-created ideas for a new ROTD, if it'll ever be made by someone else. Also a place where fans can talk about ideas they would've liked to see incorporated, or removed.

Can possibly be about the site, as well =P

If there ever will be a new RotD, most likely there will be a forum created for such things. But as of right now, there seems to be no effort for editing RotD (at least by our clan), so we do not, and most likely will not, have such a thread.

You're probably right, but ideas are always welcome in such a game as this. Open or close the thread as you see fit.

In truth, I'd probably post my ideas and suggestions with everyone else, and I agree that ideas should be openly shared. The point I was trying to make is: don't get your hopes up for a new version anytime soon; and if there is a newer version, most likely it wont be or feel the same. Sorry for being Johnny Raincloud xD

Haha, no one will ever match in Dragon's work. I'm not expected a new version within a decade. But the ideas will be here if there is one made. XD

Well, editing ROTD will require me hacking it. I cant do it because its way too complicated.

Actually im sure dragon wouldnt mind it, only to certain limits. Like no lag, stays in his name, all that crap. But for me to edit it would require dragons full permission. And even i dont want to try editing it. Because if i tried id have to need his help every trigger and jass code.

i gots an idea, how about we use this topic (and or a dufferent location doesnt rlly mattr to me) for the ideas of fans as posted above, but rather than to edit RotD make it so us teh fans can create our own little off-shoots of the game (for anyone misunderstanding it means making ur own map and making it a sub-map of rotd) keeping the 1 we all love currently as the main central one


but as always with the things i say, its all just a suggestion and completely up for debate

That's probably how it was going to end up in the first place. Haha. I like the idea, an I had toyed around with it some time. But I just provided the forum to come up with ideas just like that, not to distribute a wealth of ideas.
