How To Solo For Vampires
Solo Vampire Guide
By Nuby
Updated weekly at the latest; every moment I find the time I will update
To win the game (or at least kill the majority of the peasants) these are the steps I take:
Step 1:
Right from spawning purchase 2 RoGs followed by a Cloak of Shadows for a total of 120 gold (35 per Ring, and 50 for the cloak (35(2) + 50 = 120). Do NOT get any spells just yet.
Step 2:
Search through the bases you yourself would go to first*, if no one is in those (and the ones you picked were not the ones closest to mid) then check the ones closest to the middle - also, at this point the spell you would get is Far Sight, so you can check other bases as well... and if you get enough gold for whatever reason, you should buy 3 shades and have them scout the map as well.
* Upon finding a base you want to get Chain Lightning and locate their peasant asap - if the peasant seems to have already left the base then proceed to using Chain Lightning on the wood gatherers (thanks to your RoGs you'll get about 3 gold a kill, which really adds up when you're killing a mass of gatherers) - if the peasant detonates all the gatherers before you get to them, or you have finished them all off, destroy all remaining buildings.
Note: If the timer goes out (which will give them 2 gold and 20k lumber to upgrade with) before you kill every peasant, I want you to buy a Silent Caster, this will help you later on in the game when peasants noticed you destroy their wall and try to get away. Silent Caster is an AoE (Area of Effect) spell that stops every unit in the selected area from casting a spell (like the peasant's 'teleport'), even heroes (not sure if it will stop wood gatherers from using the 'Detonate' ability, you can try it if you want to). Then you have to hurry up and find them before they upgrade to 'Byte Walls'!
If you haven't defeated all the peasants before, or after this point you would usually be way behind them, read on - otherwise use your own tactics (but by reading this, I'm assuming you do not have one, or haven't even reached this point with even a single peasant kill).
Step 3:
List of items to get ASAP:
- Beastly Shadows (makes you move at max speed; when used makes you sort of rush to the given direction)
- Ultra Heart of Vampire (gives you an additional 1000 damage, will be used later with the Beast Claws on the Mirror Recipe - you can get this before the Forge opens by buying 6 Heart of Vampires (which is actually cheaper than just buying the Ultra Heart), but make sure you have 540 gold before doing so (in case the players get smart and try to steal your items; this will decrease the time span in which they'll have the chance to steal anything))
- Beast Mask (gives you an additional 500 damage, and a ton of health (to keep you alive), will be used later with the Beast Armor on the Frost Recipe)
- Silent Caster (to stop peasants, heroes, etc. from teleporting or using spells to get away or kill you)
A. You've destroyed every peasant's base, but they all got away (not a bad thing) - in this case you would use your 3 shades to search the map, along with using your vamp to move to the bases where you would hide if you were in their position, also you would be using Far Sight to view any base you haven't checked yet. If you do not find a single peasant, and have a lot of gold, spend it all on getting level 3 Far Sight to view the entire map.
B. There's one peasant whose wall you can't quite break yet... here are some signs to look for:
Is he willing to feed? If so ask for a lot (and pretend to be a new player, or if you are new just act normal - make sure not to give out the plan), then buy Beast Claws, Beast Armor, Beast Mask, and an Ultra Heart of Vampire (cheaper if you buy 6 Heart of Vampires), upgrade those with the Frost Recipe and the Mirror Recipe, then if he's fed you enough get the Dark Frost Mirror Shield Recipe, which will give you a bonus 30,000 damage, plus an additional 500 (or 600, can't remember) to all stats.
Note: if the player says to wait until they get Tier 2, respectably deny the request and go forward to attacking their wall until they agree with you.
Do you have a Staff of Teleportation? If so, check if his base is capable of stopping shades (if you haven't gotten Far Sight yet, get it now) - if they're not, send three in, hide them in areas where he wouldn't be able to see them if you teleported onto them (because you'll be teleporting in)How (if he is) is he blocking off shades? If he's using two Houses to block them off you can do one of two things: use tremble to destroy the walls (at the risk of giving the peasant items), then send your shades in quickly; or attack his wall, then put a shade in the space between the wall that the shade can enter, use your Staff of Teleportation and you will do a 'TeleJump', allowing you inside his base to wreak havoc. When doing either of these steps you must make sure you have a Silent Caster (to stop the peasant from teleporting away) and Beastly Shadows (so if the peasant runs while silenced you can catch up to him).

Re: Tutorial
Your tutorial is very good but I found an alternate route that could get you more money and relies heavily on how quick you are. This is something you should try if you are a very good vamps.
1. Get 3 RoG's, 1 shade and 1 Boots of speed and quickly use ur shade to scan the area close as possible
2. The skill I reccommend going first is far sight and use that skill to scout the far COMMON areas.
3. After gobbling up some money from found peasants, (and you should already lvl up by this point, i recommend getting chain lightning) get back to base as quickly as possible and get 3 more RoG's ( don't really need claws of gold till later once the timer is up)
4. If by the time you got the RoG and have the money to buy tome, buy either tome of agi or tome of str (i always differ between the two but i choose agi for some reason)
5. (hopefully while going through all the steps you are scouting with ur shade simultaneously) quickly kill as many base as possible before timer runs out!
*Note: keep in mind that the timer is still on and all of this has to be done within that time*
6. Once timer is run out either buy Claws of gold or keep going with 6 RoG's and find the bases that haven't upgraded to byte wall.
7. By now you should've gotten ALOT of money and go for toming but i suggest you minimize toming and save up for Beast items (i.g Beast Claws, Beast Armor, Beast Mask)
8. Keep Harassing peasants that aren't "up-to-date" technology and feed on them, don't kill them just feed on them (i know its tempting but control that)
9. If you wanna keep harassing you go two-ways at this. 1. you can save up for beasts, or 2. Get large amount of toming as well as having Golden tremble to your advantage.
I would make a nicer Tutorial or guide but I'm lazy. His tutorial consists of maximizing speed. While mine is moderately and its very nearly a guaranteed win. (That is when u fail at killing treasures) I use small graves for hard to reach places or use them on wooders that try to rep the walls.

Re: How To Solo For Vampires
If done correctly my tutorial is a gaurenteed win as well, and when the whole tutorial is finished and players do it correctly it will be close to flawless (and any flaws found will be added in, or removed).
It's not that hard to stop a vamp from teleporting into a base, you can do one of a few things...
1. Mass towers all around your base, doing this will make it so if he does happen to teleport, the shade will be shot down in a few seconds (killing the shade takes less time than it does to teleport to one)
2. Buy a Tracker and have him patrol your base with your hero
3. Keep your eyes peeled for a vamp trying to sneak a shade in, if a vamp does try to, aim your towers at it
4. Place normal towers behind your auras (which should be a little far back from your wall anyways), just out of reach of attacking the vamps... this will make it so if a shade does manage to sneak by you, they will kill it right off the bat (you only need to upgrade these enough to kill shades in 2-4 hits)

Re:
Seeing as we have a solo vampire guide, i think we should have a builder guide. (im thinking it might be a bad suggestion cuz then everyone would be at "wannabe pro" lvl and vamps would get a very hard time winning the game)

Perhaps. Or maybe the game would just be more aggressive and require everyone to use teamwork (and the vamps to be more precise in their timing) xD

Re: How To Solo For Vampires
Post your Unban Request Application here, and make sure you follow the template given to you by Zigafoo.
(I did everything I could to point out the right spot lol...)
I see using tremble or rain as a sign of weakness, that the vamp can't handle the full force of a couple towers - that's when I go all out and just destroy the vamp. On that note, it really isn't an advantage, it just angers the peasants making them want to simply get rid of you (they'll do something like trapping you, massing towers, or just having 1 or 2 other peasants come into their base (or feed them from theirs) so they can upgrade faster to get stronger towers than you can handle). Also, I really don't find it all that good to allow the peasant to live, seeing as how it could just run off to another base and double base, eventually you'd end up with them all in one base, but spreading out secretly when you're preoccupied. On a side note,if you don't think this tutorial is nice tell me in what ways it isn't if you think you can make a better tutorial, do it. Don't just sit there and say you can do it but in reality you're doing shit to prove it and to help the community. - don't be selfish without even supporting the community (you said you're too lazy to make your own tutorial, but you won't help those who are willing to make one with their own time).

I don't think this will work fully but I will try it with a bot like BongHitter_Bot or Vampirism[HoSt] when it's online.
