Tournament

Hey guys, it's been about 2 months since the last tournament, which didn't work out very well due to timezones. With new players I say we give it another chance. I'll see what I can do, anyone wanting to help host and help with the planning of the tourny. This is just going up to see your guy's reactions, no promises yet-

Would you LIKE to do another tournament.

Suggestions for tournament rules.

*This one is important* How do you propose that we work around the timezone issues (yes I do realize that half of us can wake up at 4 am but thats not my point) My theory is that we put people in groups based on timezones.

Anything else pertaining to suggestions. Not going to be taking registrations for this, don't get your hopes up high "MOM WE ARE DOING ANOTHER VAMPIRISM ULTRA TOURNAMENT!" yeah, don't do that.

Approval from the big powerful guys with powers to ban (Fancy way of saying shamans/ admins) is requested :]

EDIT: Azeroth is the server that Rotd is on. It is a US East server, If timezones DO become a royal issue EST will rule if in a necessary case.

to be honest, it depends on timezones. like when your online or when your offline. you cant really change when you can come on.

i think that the base idea of teams based of the time zones isn't bad,
even tough i don't believe that we got so many Euro-clan members

isn't there a way to find out where all are from with a poll or something? like European Rotd members sign up here and US here and make a tourney out of it?
this will make it we get a champion from both US and Europe or have a tourney where we have 4 humans and 1 vamp from each continent?

Or Anonymous make an alt account on Euorpean server and inv euro members there? I kind of miss it

I'm thinking of a way to mix timezones- but it will come down to a part where you will have to be IN the tournament during the times. As for being in the european servers- you can always just make an alt to play on us east- only reason we might want you to do that is so we can all meet at ____ chat to discuss and have meetings before the games, confirm with people, and get it started. Making an account on another server is just as easy as doing it to your main one ;-)

My idea of taking all finalists from each game to make one game is going to have a sorta requirement to wake up early / stay up late side-effect, putting an even number between the two- because i can't have US wake up at 10:00 am and be happy and ready while the Europeans have to wake up early- I just can't do that because it won't be fair to SOMEONE, one way would be to do it at noon or midday which might work.

CHanging when you can come on may mean, canceling plans which you might not be able to do- but waking up early or staying up later to increase time available might be what it comes down to- still have to kinda get everything sorted out.

I think we should go for it. I cant speak for everyone else but i wanna see a successful ultra tourny take place.

Ha, I was planning on doing it - and i thought that that would be something that wouldn't need to be reminded about. ;-) Great Planning, A lot of people who signed up, but no one showed up during final thing- this time it will be thoroughly advertised constantly. Yes in your case they are redeemable for the knowledge you earned and shared. You can also redeem them for the acknowledgment of your work.
